The fabulous gals and my girlfriends over at VeloVogue, here in San Francisco are holding a super cool contest throughout June 30th, so submit your photos! See all the details here:
For once, I remembered to take a picture the other day post-Monk’s Kettle & thanks to my friend Fred for snapping this. That is the face of a super full bean-burger belly. This is in front of Delirium, where the bike racks are.
Here are a few encounters of the splendid colorful walls around the Mission. Qué bonita!
Other than coming across some interesting adventures and encounters in the city, Frenchie and I are mostly surrounded by intense bursts of color all around. Though, I love my peeps and riding in groups all the time with my friends and new pals, I often ride by mylsef. I actually roam solo a whole lot. This is around 24th/Valencia/23rd streets, a few days ago.
Sent by a dear someone that likes dancing by themselves and, perhaps secretly loves my Frenchie for its speedy super powerful deliveries – ha haaa *merci !
François is dismayed at how backward he sees the French Postal Service, he only having a bicycle as transport for his postal route. It is even a major process for his company to get him a replacement bicycle tire. François is obsessed with speeding up the delivery of at least the service on his route – doing it as well or even better than the Americans – with only his bicycle, his ingenuity and advice from the townsfolk to do so. via_IMDb»
By now, we are out in town somewhere with World Cup fever, watching the 7AM PST México vs. Uruguay game. I hope someone takes pictures because my planB camera that I am currently using, its battery lasts for about 3 nanoseconds. Here is two guys in the meantime in some serenate session for the Frenchie, instead of blazing those guitars for el TRI!!
And they suspiciously look pretty similar to two trolls that will be cheering for the fútbol in the early AMs…. One is armed with coffee, the other with tea – and they speak funny spanglish with acronyms and all. Uffff….
When was the last time you went to North Beach or anywhere near the north of the city? I have a tremendous case of the wanderlusting rides, so even if it means riding 20+ minutes, often times I will take the longer route and loop around from Hayes Valley, to the Panhandle and then thru Pac Heights to end up in North Beach for happy hour in the middle of the week. Sounds crazy, but our city to be about 7 miles square, often so square, that so frequently I hear my peers say that they don’t get out and explore the outside lands of their neighborhoods and districts or they usual route.
Show me some curiosity and let me know if you have taken a different route recently, doesn’t have to be long miles or crazy hilly distances. All it takes is making an intentional unusual turn and then you will see you will possibly encounter something interesting and rather new.
Next ‘unpopular‘ neighborhood: who knows? stay tuned.
