My favorite part of the Holidays is the festivals! -and mingling excuses. I have found local goodies throughout the years in various festivals in the city. Two of my many favorite events are happening this weekend, plus many more within the month. Shop local♥
One of them is happening this Saturday Dec. 6th /8pm-2am. 21+@The Mezzanine $7
In the past, I have found super cute scarves, gloves and introduced to local artists of all
things cute for the foggy rides to come. Gets really crowded & the energy, vibe
and music are always super!
Chillin ProductionsIrene Hernandez-Feiks founded Chillin’ Productions 7 years ago with the purpose of
discovering and aiding Bay Area fashion designers, painters, photographers, filmmakers, DJ’s, musicians and
performers. Her goal has been to provide exposure and create new opportunities for the artists. In her tenure as a
promoter, Irene has made a point of never taking commissions or charging designers to sell their work. In short,
all of the money made by the artist goes to the artist.
Etsy has a shop local feature that applies to your local area. Super!
Shown (Left) is one of my favorite local shirts I’ve ever gotten. My bike medusa shirt I got during the Renegade Craft Fair this past summer, which was also the poster for last year’s winterfest -by hughillustration
I’ve also purchased from his etsy store for a gifts. The quality of the shirts are excellent. Recent article by local magazine 7×7 Inside the Creative Commune
And looking forward for Winterfest, my favorite in the last many years (asides Tour de Fat…) Raffles, auctions, art, fun, new belgium and bikes. Lovely!
