The girls and I got together for a little Monday action. The day of the death is a festive celebration, like any holiday here in San Francisco. We gathered at the panhandle, middle ground for all of us on a weeknight. After having some recent late night conversations with my calitexican, the celebration this year became especially colourful than any other past years. It is great to know you are not alone during certain ups and downs when you are in your 20s. Anyways –

The procession was great. We saw many families, costumes, face paint and dancing skulls. Candles, candles everywhere. Spirits of those who are no longer with us surrounding us with smiles and the smell of incense that reminds you that perhaps there is something around us, the alive ones, that we are not able to see.

This year’s Dia de los Muertos was huge. SO huge, we started in the middle front of it, ended up as always in the way, way back of the event. So far back we had to leave because the fumes from the police escort got to me and I got uber dizzy. That was no biggie because shortly after we got some food and we were good to go.
If you ever lose us in a ride or event, just look for us way in the back.
You will certainly find us.
