art vitamins, bicycle parking, bike racks, from the bike lane, las neighborhoods in SF, thanx so much, the frenchie, top shots
The other night I had a bite at Pika Pika. There is one rack right across it, but in the evening, after four barrel closes, you can find some open racks on that stretch. Or across the street at little star. They close at 10PM, so just in time to get a late maiz+frijoles snack and a beer.
The weather this weekend was gloomy and sunny at the same time. Depends on the neighborhood, you got a full exposure of the science of these multiple microclimate thing we got going on here, to the max. Got to kick it with young parents that my friends are (Ade + James), more bike rides and all the girl crew on Saturday. So, pretty chill weekend in the foggiest city of the bikeyniverse 😀

+that is how the weekend went down
If you roam the city in the early mornings and anytime for no reason at all as much as I do, you will get to see the people that really live in the neighborhoods that you perhaps don’t visit much. As an extremely curious being, here are some shots from the Northside of the city: the Marina.
This below, is the view from inside the Plant Cafe Organic on Steiner street, formerly known as Lettüs.
Want the best veggie burger in town?, says I, go here. Worth the trip.
What would you like today?
I have seen beautiful granpas dressed to the nines. Going to a corner liquor shop and spending hours there.

My good friend Stephen gave me a lift a couple of weeks ago. We were both about 50 miles away from the City, and it was a treat to chat with a friend, have our bikes in the back, and not leave work 1.5+hrs before to catch CalTrain or a time-restricted Bus or BART. I’m fine with that once in a blue moon.
I wanted to show off the fact this is built-by-Stephen. He made the rack himself. I know nothing about cars/sport racks, but if you can make something yourself and it involves bikes or food (better yet, both), I am all for it.
Here are some shots of his super fancy road bike, a pimped out Litespeed with Dura Ace included, and my retrolicious smurfette.
