Bike to Work Day is this Thursday, May 14th.

May 12, 2009 2 Comments

Bike to Work (and everywhere) Day (and everyday) is this Thursday. San Francisco has many Energizer Stations provided by the SFBC, so you can check out that whole info HERE.

I’m working in the first bilingual Spanish/English energizer station (The Chinese bilingual station is going on its second year!!) so if you are around the Bernal/Mission/Outer Mission on your way in the AM or PM to work, swing by and say hi. And drink some coffee. Here is the link for the station location energation…
Many of the readers for this little blog of mine already ride a bike, but if you don’t, it is never too late. Go ride and have fun!!

Bike to Work Nicely Caffeinated

May 12, 2009 2 Comments

It’s always time for coffee.

This is San Francisco uniting bicycles and coffee. This is great. Check the link below for the full list and its wonderful local coffee that will be poured at each of the stations. How can you not be motivated? Most of the coffees, I have probably talked about here. Now you will understand what drives me every morning, afternoon and in-between. Oh, coffee. I’m in love.

San Francisco Bike To Work Day Goes Fairtrade

All 17 Morning Energizer Stations Convert to Fair Trade Certified Coffee

Thursday, May 14th is Bike to Work Day in San Francisco and all seventeen morning energizer stations will be serving Fair Trade Certified coffee. Join commuters old and new in making a statement about the importance of cycling and raise a cup for the world’s farmers. Stop by one of the 17 morning energizer stations and load up on Fair Trade Certified coffee, healthy snacks and even a convenient tote bag for future commutes.

Fair Trade Certified products directly support a better life for farming families through fair prices, direct trade, community development and environmental stewardship. When you choose Fair Trade Certified coffee along with your morning ride, you are choosing a better life for the world’s farmers, a cleaner environment and a more sustainable commute.

Bikeboom Saturday

May 12, 2009 No Comments

Got the sweet chance to chill out for a fine Saturday evening with hundreds of fogheads in this year’s KFOG’s Kaboom. Peet’s coffee multiple rounds, awesome company, bicycle park valet no less and super duper fireworks.

What traffic?

Colossus wants to go home!

Eliyah takes the Frenchie for a spin.

Slow traffic on the left please. Happy riders go ahead.

Change Your Life, Ride a Bike!

May 12, 2009 4 Comments

Okay, in between this crazy busy Bike To Work Week, I’d like to include a very important announcement. Adrienne Johnson aka busbozo and I, have decided to unite blogging forces caused by the awesomeness of bicycles.
I am very happy to partner up with Adrienne, new friend, partner in bloggin crime and a great personal example as of how riding my bicycle has changed oh-so-many aspects of my life. It is in its initial stage, but will grow as we go. ♥Bikes and the City will remain riding its own momentum and light that it has always had, and will continue to do so.

Our collaboration is: ♥Change Your Life, Ride a Bike! A blog for people to share how riding a bike has changed how they see themselves and the world!
